Poets Square: The Voice of Love / Dulcie Nikara
As I call from a voice I can not hear, I hide from the unknown. As I seek the place I do not know, I fear everything, I know. I am illiterate. I am unwise. Naive, yes. As I gather stones I do not know they are more precious than jewels. I have no care no thought no direction. I am but a fool. As a call from deep persists to learn to change the rhythm of my beat, a call that I never thought I had the courage or will to seek. As years passed by and change hunts and lures and change just won't give in. I hear a voice today I know the voice of love of tests and trials. Speak, speak up, be humble, for your life is not your own. As I call I hear a voice today echoing back to me. I hear I speak I move ahead I call I do not flee. The courage the love the persistant acts to change the ways of old. No longer wordless no longer lacking no longer the worlds fool. Turned from but what I knew, turned toward the unknown. As today I hear the voice from within a voice that wears a crown.
