Great post, I was reflecting on this a while back after being out for dinner with a bunch of friends, during which there was much robust discussion had on a broad spectrum of matters. It had left me feeling unsettled, so I was trying to process this when I realised that it was all outrage at what was going on, without necessarily affecting any change, Change in thought, perspectives or circumstances for that matter. Since then, I have been trying to engage in these spaces/places in peace - not peace keeping, but peace-making. Asking the question, what does it look like for there to be peace here? It is certainly challenging, and the way not always clear - but it has meant that I have become less 'tribal' and able to listen and engage more.
