Chlöe Swarbrick: Reducing Alcohol Harm- The Bill

In this episode we catch-up with our ole mate Green MP Chlöe Swarbrick. We discuss her bill aimed at reducing alcohol harm, and talk about what we can do to create safer communities for our whānau.

Kia ora whānau,

We’re excited to share this episode with you. Currently, the Sale and Supply of Alcohol (Harm Minimisation) Amendment Bill (big name we know) is going through parliament. The bill aims to provide sensible regulation to the alcohol industry, hoping in doing so to reduce the harm that alcohol is having within our community.

So to learn more about the bill and how we can all help to reduce alcohol harm in our communities, we thought who better to speak to than our ole mate and Green Party MP for Auckland Central, than Chlöe Swarbrick. In this episode we discuss the Alcohol Harm Reduction Bill. How it can reduce harm in our communities, the research behind it and some of the common misconceptions around the bill. We hope you enjoy the kōrero.
